Concept 45 #1
TRON, Transformers (1-3) and Lord of the Rings (1-3) are all examples of movies where an character's life is challenged by extraordinary events or circumstances. In TRON, the kid's father's company was taken over after his father was found missing, the son went back to the old arcade where he would play with his dad and entered a world that he couldn't imagine. He was able to find his father, as well as find out what was taking place in the TRON world. In Transformers, Sam Widwickee was just a normal high school kid looking to buy his first car, and ended up owning an Autobot, which led to him being in the middle of a war between Autobots and Decepticons. He then goes off to college to live a normal life and once again is in the middle of another war. In the final movie he was found living in the real world looking for a job/career and finds himself being a big help in a major battle between the Autobots and Decepticons. He was looked at as a "messenger" but he was an ordinary person who saved the world and a hero within 3-5 years. In Lord of the Rings, Frodo Baggins was just an ordinary hobbit, and then put in the middle of a colossus battle/war between men, , hobbits, elves and dwarfs against orcs to destroy a ring. He was just a simple regular hobbit in a town, and ended up being a hero along the journey.
